They feature extra, more heavy-duty hinges than balcony doors, the ability to lock from inside and out, and a usable handle on both sides.
Balcony Doors
Best suited for openings in the home that aren't in daily use. Balcony doors don't feature an exterior handle, locking system, or the other features found on patio doors.
Accordion / Folding Doors

Even the largest of them — a single sash weighing up to 400 kilograms — can be operated without the slightest effort, ensured by the mechanisms in both tilt-and-slide and lift-and-slide systems, with visible thresholds or thresholds that disappear within the floor.
